Saturday Night with Steve Vai

Steve Vai performs the Grammy nominated song “Lotus Feet” live with the Holland Metropole Orchestra, 2005. This is part on the DVD “Visual Sound Theories” - available through the official Steve Vai website.

Surf around and you’ll find two articles explaining the title of “Lotus Feet”. The first is called The Sublime Essense of the Lotus Feet. The second is Pamposh, or Lots About the Lotus.

Friday with Destitute Prostitutes

The band is called The Vacation. Normally, I use the band’s name in my Friday blog title, but this song called for an exception.

Of the track Spike says, “Don’t pitty the po’ ho’s, scream your freakin’ heads off about being one. A strange response, perhaps, but it seems to work for this dirty rock band out of hell-A. What the world needs now, is a hot and hooky anthem about hookers. And here it is.”
