Of all the TEDTalks I’ve seen, there may be none that capture the spirit of ‘change’ more than this. - Adam Grosser was inspired to build a refrigerator that works without electricity and to bring that vital tool to villages and clinics worldwide. Tweaking some old technology, he’s come up with a system that works. Coolest thing of all — it’s incredibly cheap!

By the way, TED recently put together a Top 10 list from their first two years of presentations. For me, it was a chance to catch up on several talks I missed.

The vehicle was unveiled at last month’s SAE Congress in Detroit. BMW stole the spotlight with its hydrogen-powered 7-series sedan that emits less carbon monoxide than is present in its environment. The car’s engine breaks down and converts carbon monoxide, essentially cleaning the air as it is driven.
